Tattoo regulations in Vermont
In the US, tattooing is regulated by states, counties and cities, so age limits, licences and inspections depend on where you work. Studios with employees must follow OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, which requires an exposure control plan, yearly training, a free hepatitis B vaccination offer and sharps injury records. The FDA treats tattoo inks as cosmetics.
